林文伯受訪時提出他對新政府的建議，他表示，希望新政府可以重視不合意併購等產業重大問題，政府應先有一個完整的半導體產業政策後，再來談產業併購的事情，事緩則圓。
對於紫光入股一事，林文伯說，台灣應歡迎各地資金，包含陸資，讓半導體產業可以根留台灣，持續在台灣設立製造生產基地，才有稅收、就業機會，可以創造良性循環。
